I love the warming spices associated with fall, and this pumpkin spice mix evokes all of those cozy vibes.
When the leaves start changing, I like to mix up a batch fo this spice mix to have on hand for lattés, baking, and as a quick way to add some pumpkin-spiced flair to oatmeal or smoothies (check out my pumpkin pie oats- they are delish!)
This recipe can easily be doubled, triples, or quadrupled, and I recommend doing this if you know you’re going to be going through a lot. In my version, I substitute cardamom for cloves, which is untraditional, but I like it more than cloves and I think it works really well here. If you’re missing that clove aroma, or can’t find cardamom, feel free to add in 1/2 tsp to this mix along with the other spices.
Pumpkin Spice Mix
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp ginger
1 tsp all spice
1/2 tsp of nutmeg
1/2 tsp cardamom
Combine all ingredients in a small container or jar and shake to combine.
