A smoothie is my morning go-to because it’s fast, nutritious, and keeps me full until lunchtime. My usual formula is a mix of frozen berries, protein powder, chia seeds, and almond milk, but sometimes I need to switch it up and avocados are the answer.
A ripe avocado gives this smoothie the dreamiest, creamiest texture, it’s basically like you’re eating a pudding for breakfast. I round it out with half a banana for sweetness, then add spinach, hemp seeds, matcha and vegan vanilla protein powder (I use this one).
You can easily adjust how much banana you add depending on how sweet you want it to taste, so this is a great option for those trying to reduce their sugar intake. The matcha adds that extra kick in the pants you need to get your morning going- breakfast and caffeination all in one, what’s not to love?
